If you wish for a particular topic in Family Systems just request it and we will do our best to meet the need. ​ There is varying lengths of training on the site that is the following corresponding amounts. ​ 1 hour - $30 1.5 hours - $35 2 hours - $40 2.5 hours - $45 3 hours - $50 Please note that various licensure boards and states award differing amounts of credits for lengths of training. So please check with your licensure board to confirm. ​ JTEF Courses Pubs Published Works Training/Tech Training & Technical Assistance Our Foundation is dedicated to providing training or technical assistance to institutions, agencies, and practices that wish to learn more about Family Therapy or improve their existing skills. We have board members who have provided numerous trainings on a wide variety of topics that are either directly developed, influenced or endorsed by John. If you have a need just ask and we can find someone to meet it, design it and deliver it. Customized Training Supervison We provide Supervision from AAMFT Approved Supervisors, MINT Trainers, Social Workers Supervisor, and LCAS credentialling. This supervision can include licensure supervision, case consult, or group supervision sessions. Availability is based on scheduling and ongoing supervision arrangements. Inquire for Supervision Supervision Consultation Consulting Consult is a in depth staffing of a particular case or cases and is negotiated by the hour. Typically 2 hours blocks are most common. Third Tuesday Training Series John T. Edwards Legacy: A Family Systems Approach This seminar is open to professionals who are interested in an opportunity for ongoing immersion in family systems theory through the study of the work of John T. Edwards, Ph.D. The seminar will utilize the book “Working With Families: Guidelines and Techniques” second edition written by Dr. Edwards. Participants will apply a family systems approach to current challenges in the substance abuse treatment field. Topics will include but are not limited to addressing the opioid epidemic, working with the schools, trauma, and working with the criminal justice system. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss current cases and receive feedback from colleagues. The seminar will be facilitated by Dr. Richard J. Martin, a long-time colleague of Dr. Edwards. Additionally, colleagues of Dr. Edwards who have worked with him for many years and are current Board members of the John T. Edwards Foundation will participate in the seminar and lead the sessions. The seminar will meet on the Third Tuesday of the month from Noon to 1 PM. Participants will receive (1) hour of substance abuse specific (SAS) credit in the Evidence-Based Treatment (EBT) category. Participants do not have to attend every seminar to receive credit. Topic: John T. About the John T. Edwards Foundation John T. Edwards John T . Edwards, PhD, was an approved supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and has conducted and supervised family therapy for over 30 years. John served as director of counseling in a family health center, clinical director of an inpatient family care program, private practitioner in marriage and family therapy, and co-founder of a learning center for family therapy. John conducted over a thousand workshop and trainings in family therapy, treating chemically dependent families in the USA and Canada. Edwards Foundation is a nonprofit organization that illuminates the legacy of a family systems theorist, teacher, and mentor, who trained generations of clinicians in the art of working with families. “I lead because I follow" was the deceptively-simple, elegantly-perceptive philosophical foundation of John Edward's approach to family therapy, as he made the complexity of collective human behavior accessible to professionals in diverse areas of service. The John T. Edwards Foundation sustains the life work of the "Southern Gentleman of family therapy" through the preservation of his collections and manuscripts, distribution of his written and recorded work, and training and consultation of his approach to working with families. We invite you to join us as we preserve and advance the contributions of an enlightened soul who, with a wry grin, empowered students and colleagues to follow him into the crucible of family dynamics.
